2015-16 SCHOOL YEAR - ANTICIPATED OPENING
Due to its recent growth, the Maine School of Science and Mathematics invites applications for the following anticipated opening for the 2015-2016 school year:
Instructor - US History (FT): The US History instructor will be responsible for teaching four sections of US History or three sections of US History and one section of a social science (preferably economics/US government), while also providing extensive tutoring, mentoring and academic support for students at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics. Faculty duties include student advising, overseeing a co-curricular activity, and weekly office hours.
Qualifications: MSSM seeks qualified faculty with a distinguished record of success in the classroom.
Preference will be given to individuals holding a Master’s degree in US History or a related field. A successful candidate will exhibit excellent communication and organization skills, as well as a willingness to work with intellectually gifted youth both in and outside of the classroom.
Compensation: Salary to be determined pending qualifications.
