Director of Outreach Programs
S.C. Governor's School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM)

GSSM seeks an exceptional individual to serve as Director of Outreach Programs. This individual will be responsible for the coordination, management, implementation, and evaluation of key programs including iTEAMS and CREATEng as well as support for GSSM's other Outreach initiatives, all of which raise academic standards statewide by working with teachers, students and schools.
The successful applicant will have a Bachelor's or an advanced degree in science or mathematics, or an equivalent degree in a field related to science education or program management. A minimum of five years program coordination, teaching, curriculum development, professional development training, or other related experience are preferred.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to collaborate with school district administrators and faculty, develop and monitor program timelines, coordinate the deas of others, delegate, work independently and as a part of a team, and coordinate multiple tasks.
Knowledge and familiarity of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) educational programs and camps for middle school through high school education are a plus. Leadership, initiative, organization, and excellent interpersonal, administrative and communication skills are vital.
This is a full-time 12-month position with full benefits available. Compensation is competitive based on credentials, experience and other unique capabilities. Some travel and weekend work is required.
